Whether you want to take care of your woods, hike and hunt on your land, or make memories with family, we are here to help. Our “Learn About Your Land” classes provide the knowledge and resources for you to get the most from your woodland. We invite you to join us to learn about your land.

Learn About Your Land is a series of three weekly classes and registration of $30 covers all three classes.

Invite Wildlife to your Woodland

Wednesday, September 9, 2026 6-8PM

Learn to enhance your woodlands to attract a variety of wildlife. This session identifies the four requirements to attracting wildlife to your land: space, water, food and shelter, as well as how you can manage your woods to improve the wildlife potential.

Get to Know your Local Trees

Wednesday, September 16, 2026 6-8PM

Join a forester as you get to know what trees are in your woods.  We will review the major trees you will likely find on your property, how to identify others when you return to your property, and learn what uses each tree has.

Invasive Woodland Plants and How to Control Them

Wednesday, September 23, 2026 6-8PM

Invasive plants are a threat to healthy woodlands. Learn to identify common invasive plants found in Wisconsin, understand the impact they have on your property, and discover how to manage them. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to improve your management efforts, this class will give you the knowledge and confidence to take action and restore the health and diversity of your woodland.

You may request an interpreter, materials in an alternative language and/or format, accommodations for hearing or visual impairment, accommodations for physical mobility considerations, and/or other services to make this event more accessible. Contact information is listed at the top of this webpage. Please make requests as early as possible prior to the program so that proper arrangements can be made. There is no added cost to you for these services.
