Selecting trees for firewood can be a powerful tool for boosting woodland health and wood-stove efficiency. This session explores how strategic, single-tree selection can help remove low-quality or crowded trees and build an optimal woodpile. Learn how to identify trees for removal, evaluate fuel value, and improve forest structure and diversity to set up your woods for long-term success. We’ll be joined by forest resilience Extension educator, Keith Phelps!
